Article 72. The main provisions on the limited partnership of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. A limited partnership is recognized as one that includes, along with one or more participants who bear additional responsibility for the obligations of the partnership with all their property (general partners), as well as one or more participants whose liability is limited to the amount of their contribution to the property of the partnership (depositors) and who do not participate in the partnership's business activities.

     2. The legal status of general partners participating in a limited partnership and their liability for the obligations of the partnership are determined by the rules on participants in a general partnership.

     3. A citizen may be a general partner in only one limited partnership.

     A general partner in a limited partnership may not be a member of the general partnership.

     4. The rules of this Code on general Partnerships shall apply to a limited partnership, insofar as this does not contradict the provisions of this Code on limited partnerships.
