Article 9. General safety requirements for machinery and equipment Chapter 2. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT of the Law on Safety of Machinery and Equipment
1. The machines and equipment to which this Law applies must comply with the requirements ensuring the safety of life, human health and environmental protection established by this Law and technical regulations.
2. In cases where machines and equipment are subject to several technical regulations, such machines and equipment must comply with the requirements of all technical regulations to which they are subject.
3. The safety of machinery and equipment is ensured by:
1) compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of safety of machinery and equipment;
2) confirmation of compliance of machinery and equipment with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of safety of machinery and equipment;
3) the application of state regulatory measures in the field of safety of machinery and equipment.
4. At all stages of the life cycle of machinery and equipment, it must be possible to monitor compliance with all safety requirements established by this Law and technical regulations.
5. If a set of tests is required to ensure safety at each stage of the life cycle of machinery and equipment, then they must be carried out in full, meeting all the requirements of the design documentation.
6. Deviations from the conditions of safe use of machinery and equipment provided for in the design documentation at all stages of the life cycle of machinery and equipment should not exceed the acceptable risk level.
7. Further use of upgraded machinery and equipment for its intended purpose is possible only based on the results of an expert examination confirming the compliance of machinery and equipment with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of safety of machinery and equipment, with the conclusion of the relevant state bodies ensuring the safety of machinery and equipment.

This Law regulates public relations in determining, establishing, applying and fulfilling requirements for machines and equipment, their life cycle processes, and establishes the legal basis for ensuring safety to ensure the protection of human life, health and the environment.
