1. Suburban areas include lands adjacent to the border (line) of the city, intended for the development of the territory of this city, other settlements included in the suburban area, as well as the performance of sanitary protection functions, the location of recreation areas for the population, horticultural and country associations.

2. The boundaries of suburban areas are established on the basis of approved urban planning documentation in accordance with this Code and the land legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Code regulates public relations related to the implementation of architectural, urban planning and construction activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the formation of a full-fledged habitat and human activity, planning and development of settlements, interuniverse territories, ensuring the safety of construction sites at all stages of their life cycle.
