No later than five days, and in case of a large volume, no later than fifteen

Twenty-four days after the verdict is pronounced, a copy of it must be handed over to the convicted or acquitted person, the defense attorney and the prosecutor. A copy of the verdict is handed over to other participants in the process within the same period from the moment of receipt of the petition.

 

In accordance with this article, the court is obliged to hand over a copy of the verdict to the convicted, acquitted, defender, and public prosecutor no later than five days. This period is extended to fifteen days if the sentence is large enough in volume.

The delivery of a copy of the verdict within the specified time limits ensures that the participants in the process can use their right to appeal in a timely manner. From the moment of handing over a copy of the verdict to the convicted person in custody, the beginning of the term of appeal against the court verdict begins to be calculated.

Within the specified time, a copy of the verdict is handed over to other participants in the process at their request.

A copy of the verdict is handed over by the secretary of the court session, and the date of delivery is recorded.
