Deputies of the AMANAT party analyzed the draft Constitution

During the meeting, it was noted that comprehensive discussions of reforms and initiatives, as well as their active implementation, will continue in the future.

“Adopting the New Constitution is an important step in implementing the principle of a ‘state that listens to the voice of the people.’” This opinion was expressed at an expanded meeting of the AMANAT Party’s parliamentary faction held in Almaty, reports Almaty.tv.

In addition, the significant meeting widely addressed issues related to the development of education and science, the promotion of culture and innovation, and the protection of digital rights. It was also emphasized that in-depth discussion of reforms and initiatives and their practical implementation will remain active going forward.

“There is another innovation in the Preamble. In our state, the foremost value is the individual, followed by nature. Nature must be protected. Kazakhstan has vast lands, and these lands must be preserved,” said Alua Ibrayeva, a member of the Parliamentary Working Commission on Reforms.

Moreover, the substantive meeting extensively discussed the progress in implementing the roadmap aimed at fulfilling the AMANAT Party’s 2023–2027 election program.

In particular, in 2025, within the framework of the “Future Schools” project, 13 new schools designed for 23,100 students were constructed. In addition, seven kindergartens with a total capacity of 1,596 places were commissioned, along with three creative hubs and three physical culture and wellness complexes made available for public use. At the conclusion of the meeting, lawyers provided comprehensive legal explanations of the fundamental provisions of the Constitution.

“Across Kazakhstan, in 90 percent of criminal cases and administrative proceedings, the so-called ‘Miranda rights’ are not explained. In principle, they exist in procedural legislation, but they were not included in our Constitution. Now the Constitution contains information on explaining a person’s rights and freedoms during detention and arrest,” said Galymzhan Sarzhanov, an адвокат of the Almaty City Bar Association.
