On the development of space activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2005-2007

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 25, 2005 No. 1513

To be published in the "Collection of Acts" of the Republican press      

     In order to concentrate the scientific and technical potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan on priority areas of space activities and enhance the contribution of space technologies and technology to solving the problems of socio-economic development and security of the country, I HEREBY DECREE:

     1. Abrogated by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 06/18/2009 No. 829.

     2. To the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan: 1) the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 06/18/2009 No. 829 became invalid; 2) the scientific and technical program "National Space Monitoring System of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2004-2006" was cancelled in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 3) the joint-stock company "National Company Kazkosmos" was established in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as JSC NC Kazkosmos) with one hundred percent participation of the state in its authorized capital;      4) identify the main areas of activity of JSC NC Kazkosmos: participation in the development and implementation of current, long-term intersectoral programs in the field of space activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan; creation of highly effective information and space technologies aimed at solving socio-economic problems and ensuring national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan; conducting research and development work to create high-tech space technologies and equipment;      the use of manned space flights to carry out fundamental and applied research on the international space station; participation in the implementation of a state order to ensure national security, defense, environmental protection, forecasting and monitoring of emergency situations; 5) take other necessary measures to implement this Decree.

     3. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
