The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 3, 2017 No. 82-VI.

      To ratify the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek State border dated September 4, 2006, made in Tashkent on March 11, 2017 and in Astana on March 14, 2017.

Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek State Border dated September 4, 2006

     (Entered into force on July 15, 2017 - Bulletin of International Treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2017, No. 4, art. 56)

     The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, hereinafter referred to as the Parties,

     in order to coordinate international and bilateral checkpoints that promote the development of communication between the two countries,

      Guided by article 10 of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek State Border dated November 16, 2001 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement),

     have agreed on the following:

Article 1

      The following amendments and additions should be made to the List of checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek state border, which is an annex to the Protocol to the Agreement signed on September 4, 2006:

     1. In paragraph 1 of the section "Railway checkpoints", the name of the checkpoint of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Beineu" should be replaced by "Oasis".

     2. In the section "Automobile checkpoints":

     1) Paragraphs 6, 7 and 9 should be worded as follows:

     * The checkpoint is used only for the passage of passenger vehicles, the passage of goods and goods for commercial purposes is not carried out. Customs operations related to the placement of goods under customs procedures are not performed.".

Article 2

     When traveling in non-stop transit from the Syrdarya checkpoint to the Tselinny checkpoint and from the Tselinny checkpoint to the Syrdarya checkpoint, all citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including passport holders of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, holders of diplomatic passports, employees of intergovernmental courier services, law enforcement agencies, members of official delegations, employees of diplomatic missions and their family members, children under 16 years of age, The Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan issues migration cards, which indicate the purpose of the trip "transit" and indicate entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan; at the same time, no border crossing is indicated in the passports of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Article 3

      This Protocol shall enter into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in Article 11 of the Agreement.

     This Protocol is valid until the termination of the Agreement.

 

     Done in Tashkent on March 11, 2017 and in Astana on March 14, 2017 in two original copies, each in the Kazakh, Uzbek and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic.

     In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the provisions of this Protocol, the Parties will be guided by the text in Russian.
