On the abolition of certain consultative and advisory bodies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 16, 1996 No. 3067
In order to streamline the system of advisory bodies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I hereby decree:
1. To abolish the following consultative and advisory bodies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1) The Council of Entrepreneurs;
2) The Council of the Republic;
3) The Council of Economic Consultants;
4) Expert Banking Council;
5) The Supreme Advisory Council for Science and Technology;
6) The Republican Council for Combating Crime and Corruption;
7) Sports Council;
8) The Supervisory Board for State Media Affairs.
2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall conduct an analysis of the competence and activities of the abolished consultative and advisory bodies with a view to creating, and, if necessary, similar consultative and advisory bodies under the Government of the Republic.
3. Within one month, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan should submit proposals to the Head of State on expanding the powers of the Security Council in terms of addressing issues related to combating crime and corruption.
4. Within one month, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Economic Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan should submit proposals for the formation of an expert council on entrepreneurship development under the Supreme Economic Council for consideration by the Head of State.
5. To invalidate the following acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1) Resolution No. 792 dated June 4, 1992 "On the formation of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 21, Article 340);
2) Decree No. 1038 dated December 28, 1992 "On the formation of the Council of the Republic" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 46, art. 680);
3) Resolution No. 1041 of December 29, 1992 "On Approval of the Regulations on the Council of Entrepreneurs under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 46, art. 685);
4) Order No. 1576 dated February 23, 1994 "On the Council of Economic Consultants under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
5) Resolution No. 1638 dated April 5, 1994 "On the formation of the Expert Banking Council" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1994, No. 16, Article 153);
6) Decree No. 1979 dated December 6, 1994 "On the Supreme Advisory Council for Science and Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1994, No. 46, Article 494; 1995, No. 13, Article 151; No. 32, Article 394);
7) Decree No. 2165 of April 1, 1995 "On the formation of the Republican Council for Combating Crime and Corruption" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1995, No. 12, art. 135), with the exception of paragraph 6;
8) Decree No. 2921 dated March 28, 1996 "On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Formation of the Republican Council for Combating Crime and Corruption";
9) Resolution No. 2166 of April 1, 1995 "On Approval of the Regulations on the Republican Council for Combating Crime and Corruption";
10) Resolution No. 2262 dated May 4, 1995 "On Approval of the Regulations on the Sports Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
11) Decree No. 2520 dated October 14, 1995 "On the formation of the Supervisory Board under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on State Media Affairs".
6. Delete paragraph 1 of Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 4, 1995 No. 2261 "On urgent measures for the development of mass sports in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
7. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
