On the establishment of the Institute of the Commissioner for the Rights of Socially Vulnerable Categories of the Population under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 28, 2023 No. 154.

In order to improve the system of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of socially vulnerable categories of the population in the Republic of Kazakhstan, I HEREBY DECREE:

     1. To establish the institution of the Commissioner for the Rights of Socially Vulnerable Categories of the Population under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who carries out his activities on a voluntary basis (hereinafter referred to as the Commissioner).

     2. To establish that the main objectives of the Commissioner are to ensure guarantees of the rights and legitimate interests of socially vulnerable categories of the population, as well as the restoration of their violated rights and freedoms in cooperation with state and public institutions.

     3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take the measures resulting from this Decree.

     4. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     5. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its signing.
