1. An inheritance may be accepted within six months from the date of the opening of the inheritance.

In the case of the opening of an inheritance on the day of the alleged death of a citizen or the declaration of his death (paragraph 2 of Article 1042 of this Code), the inheritance may be accepted within six months from the date of death of the testator, and upon declaring him dead - from the date of entry into force of the court decision declaring the citizen deceased, unless otherwise specified in the court decision day.

2. If the right of inheritance arises for other persons as a result of the heir's renunciation of the inheritance, the non-acceptance of the inheritance by another heir, or the removal of the heir from inheritance on the grounds established by Article 1045 of this Code, such persons may accept the inheritance within six months from the date on which they have the right of inheritance.
