Article 1084. Definition of the law to be applied to civil law relations complicated by a foreign element of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The law applicable to civil law relations involving foreign citizens or foreign legal entities or complicated by another foreign element is determined on the basis of this Code, other legislative acts, international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan and recognized international customs.
2. If, in accordance with paragraph 1 of this article, it is impossible to determine the law to be applied, the law most closely related to civil law relations complicated by a foreign element shall apply.
3. The rules of this section on determining the law to be applied by the court are applied accordingly by other bodies with the authority to decide on the law to be applied.
