1. An employer shall release employees from performing their work duties for the duration of their involvement in state or public duties in cases provided for by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while retaining their place of work (position).

2. For the performance of state and public duties, the employee's salary is paid at the place of performance of these duties, but not lower than the average salary at the place of work.

For the performance of military duty for the period of conscription, the employee's salary is paid at the place of performance of this duty in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Military Service and the Status of military personnel".

3. Employees who are subject to conscription for military service or military training, during the period of passing the medical commission, retain their place of work (position), wages at their place of work when called to local military authorities, and for the period of military service upon conscription (with the exception of military service on mobilization, under martial law and in during wartime) or military training, the place of work (position) remains.

An employee who retained his place of work (position) for the period of military service upon conscription must begin his work duties no later than one month from the date of exclusion from the lists of a military unit (institution) in connection with dismissal from military service.
