Article 16. Privacy. Secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraphic and other communications CPC RK Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 

    1. The private life of citizens, personal and family secrets are protected by law. Everyone has the right to privacy of personal deposits and savings, correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraphic and other communications.

 2. When conducting criminal proceedings, everyone is guaranteed the right to inviolability of private (personal and family) life. Limitation of this right is allowed only in cases and in accordance with the procedure directly established by law.

 3. No one has the right to collect, store, use and disseminate information about a person's private life without his consent, except in cases stipulated by law.

   4. Information about a person's private life obtained in accordance with the procedure provided for by this Code may not be used except to fulfill the tasks of the criminal process.
