Article 17. Certificate of return The Law on Identity Documents

Article 17. Certificate of return The Law on Identity Documents

     1. A certificate of return is issued:

     1) citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan – in case of loss of the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, official or diplomatic passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan or expiration of their validity during their stay outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     2) minor citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan – in case of their birth outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     3) to stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan – in case of loss of the certificate of a stateless person during their stay outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     4) refugees – in case of loss of their travel document during their stay outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     5) citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan who have invalid documents for entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan or who have lost documents for entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan – in cases of their expulsion to the Republic of Kazakhstan, extradition to the Republic of Kazakhstan or transfer to the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with an international readmission agreement ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. The return certificate is issued for a single entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan and cannot be used for departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     3. The certificate of return is issued by the foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     4. The return certificate is marked:

     1) on visas – by the competent authority of a foreign state authorized to issue visas;

     2) on crossing the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the state borders of other states – by the border guard agency, the competent authority of a foreign state carrying out border control;

     3) on the cancellation of previously entered marks – by the body that made the corresponding mark.

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2013 No. 73-V.

     This Law defines the legal basis of identity documents, establishes requirements for their registration, and regulates activities related to the production, issuance, replacement, delivery, seizure and destruction of identity documents.
