Article 188-1. Cattle rustling The Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Cattle rustling, that is, the secret theft of other people's livestock, –
is punishable by a fine in the amount of up to three thousand monthly calculation indices, or correctional labor in the same amount, or restriction of liberty for up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term, with confiscation of property.
2 Cattle rustling, committed:
1) by a group of persons by prior agreement;
2) on a large scale, –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to seven years with confiscation of property.
3 Cattle rustling, committed:
1) repeatedly;
2) with entry into the courtyard of a residential building, enterprise, organization, institution, barnyard, paddock or other storage, –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with confiscation of property.
4 Cattle rustling, committed:
1) a criminal group;
2) on a particularly large scale, –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with confiscation of property.
Note. Cattle in this article are understood as:
cattle;
horses and donkeys;
camels;
small cattle;
pigs.
