1. When conducting a mandatory environmental impact assessment or strategic environmental assessment, the impact of the planned activity or document being developed on the state of wildlife, habitat, migration routes and breeding conditions of animals should be taken into account and assessed, as well as measures to preserve the habitat and breeding conditions of wildlife, migration routes and concentration sites should be identified. The inviolability of areas of special value as a habitat for wild animals must be ensured.

2. It is prohibited to put into operation buildings, structures and their complexes without equipment with technical and engineering means of protecting animals and their habitat.

3. During the placement, design and construction of railways, highways, main pipelines, communication lines, wind power plants, as well as canals, dams and other hydraulic structures, measures should be developed and implemented to ensure the preservation of migration routes and the prevention of animal deaths.

4. Blasting and other operations that are a source of increased noise in animal breeding grounds are limited by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

5. The operation of hydraulic engineering and other structures on water bodies, the establishment of the hydrological regime of water bodies and the regime of water consumption from them, as well as other activities that affect or may affect the habitat of wild animals and aquaculture facilities, should be carried out taking into account the requirements of the protection of wildlife, the interests of hunting and fishing, as well as aquaculture.
