Article 595. Transit transportation CPC of the Republic of Kazakhstan Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. A request from a competent institution of a foreign state for transit transportation through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of a person extradited to this institution by a third State shall be considered in the same manner as a request for extradition.

     2. When considering requests from competent institutions of foreign States for transit transportation, only the circumstances provided for in Article 590 of this Code are subject to extradition verification.

     3. The method of transit transportation is determined by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan or his deputy in coordination with the relevant departments.

     4. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall instruct the internal affairs body to coordinate the place, time and procedure for the transfer of persons in transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     State bodies, within their competence, assist the internal affairs body in receiving persons in transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and transferring them to third States.
