1. A project for the construction of new construction sites, their complexes, engineering and transport communications must contain urban planning justification for the location of the construction site, economic, architectural, spatial planning, functional, technological, constructive, engineering, environmental protection, energy-saving, energy-efficient and other solutions to the extent necessary for the construction and commissioning of the construction site.

Construction projects also include design and estimate documentation based on the results of a technical survey and intended for:

1) major repairs of construction facilities or restoration of buildings and structures;

2) reconstruction, expansion, modernization or technical re-equipment of the operated construction facilities;

3) postutilization of construction sites, with the exception of demolition of emergency construction sites;

4) conservation (deconservation) of construction-in-progress facilities, the construction of which has been suspended.

2. Design decisions and indicators of the construction project, approved in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are mandatory for its implementation.

The name of the construction project must indicate the type of construction activity, contain the name of the construction object, and correspond to the source materials provided for its development.

3. The construction project is being developed:

1) on the basis of a design assignment approved by the customer, materials for the selection and allotment (use permit) of a land plot (site, highway), technical conditions for engineering and communal services of a construction facility, results of engineering surveys, and other source materials, including the results of the customer's pre-design activities;

2) in accordance with the justifications for investments in construction (feasibility studies) approved in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and, if necessary, the list of building materials, products, structures, engineering equipment and devices used in the construction project, agreed with the contractor.;

3) in accordance with the architectural and planning assignment of local executive bodies of cities of republican significance, the capital, districts (cities of regional significance).

4. In the cases provided for in paragraph 4 of Article 100 of this Code, the construction project is a sketch (draft design).

5. The procedure for approving and making changes to the approved construction project is determined by this Code and state regulatory documents.

6. In the case of a reduction in the standard duration of construction in the design assignment, the development of the construction project is carried out taking into account additional resources.
