On amendments to the Labor Code of the Kazakh SSR and invalidation of certain legislative acts
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 18, 1995 N 2535
In accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 90 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 10, 1993 "On temporary delegation of additional powers to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and heads of local administrations"
I decree:
I. Article 63 of the Labor Code of the Kazakh SSR, approved by the Law of the Kazakh SSR dated July 21, 1972 (Bulletin of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR, 1972, No. 31; 1980, No. 24; 1990, No. 43, Article 404;
Bulletin of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 6, Article 112; 1993, No. 3, Article 56; 1994, No. 9-10, Article 147), to be worded as follows:
"Article 63. Holidays Work in organizations is not carried out on the following holidays:
January 1-2 - New Year
March 8 - International Women's Day
March 22 - Nauryz meiramy
May 1 is the Holiday of the Unity of the people of Kazakhstan
May 9 - Victory Day
August 30 - Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan
October 25 - Republic Day
December 16 - Independence Day
On public holidays, work is allowed that cannot be suspended due to production and technical conditions (continuously operating organizations), work caused by the need to serve the public, as well as urgent repair and loading and unloading operations."
II. To invalidate the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 18, 1992 "On Public Holidays" (Bulletin of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1992, No. 6, Article 112; 1993, No. 3, Article 56; 1994, No. 9-10, Article 147). III. This Decree comes into force from the date of publication.
