Article 14. Calculating deadlines The Law on Legal Acts

     1. The time period established by the legislation is determined by a calendar date or an indication of an event that must inevitably occur. A time period can also be defined as a period of time that is calculated in years, quarters, months, weeks, days (days), or hours.

     2. The term, calculated in years, begins with the calendar date or day (day) of the occurrence of the event, which determines its beginning, and expires in the corresponding month and day of the last year of the term. If the deadline falls on a month that does not have a corresponding date, then the deadline expires on the last day (last day) of that month.

The period, calculated in months, begins with the calendar date or day (day) of the occurrence of the event, which determines its beginning, and expires on the corresponding day (date) the last month of the deadline. If the deadline falls on a month that does not have a corresponding date, then the deadline expires on the last day (last day) of that month.

The period, calculated in weeks, begins with the calendar date or day (day) of the occurrence of the event, which determines its beginning, and expires on the corresponding day (corresponding day) of the last week of the period.

The period calculated in days (days) begins on the day following the calendar date or from the day (day) of the occurrence of the event that determines its beginning, with the exception of constitutional periods that begin on the day of the occurrence of the event specified in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and expire on the last day (last day) of the established period.

The time period, calculated in hours, begins with the minute of occurrence of the event, which determines its beginning, and expires at the last minute of the specified period.

     3. The period determined by the time period begins on the day following the calendar date or the occurrence of the event that determines its beginning, with the exception of constitutional periods that begin on the date of occurrence of the event specified in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

If the last day of the term falls on a non-working day, the day of the end of the term is considered to be the next working day following it.
