Article 172. Announcement of the beginning of the strike of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. An employer, an association (association, union) of employers (their representatives) must be notified in writing by the body authorized by the employees specified in paragraph 3 of Article 171 of this Code about the beginning of a strike and its possible duration no later than five working days before its announcement.
2. The decision to declare a strike shall specify:
1) a list of disagreements between the parties that are the basis for holding a strike;
2) the date, place and time of the start of the strike, the estimated number of participants;
3) the name of the body leading the strike, the composition of representatives of employees authorized to participate in conciliation procedures;
4) proposals on the minimum of necessary work (services) performed during the strike period.
For organizations operating hazardous production facilities, the suspension of which is associated with serious and dangerous consequences and (or) poses a threat to the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the minimum required work (services) (hereinafter referred to as the minimum required work (services) during the strike period includes:
continuity of production processes;
uninterrupted and safe operation of technological equipment, installations and technical facilities;
performing the functions of maintenance, production control and ensuring the stable and safe operation of such facilities.
