Article 173. Powers of the body heading the strike of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The body leading a strike shall act within the limits of the rights granted to it by this Code and on the basis of the powers conferred on it by its employees (their representatives).
2. The body leading the strike has the right to:
1) to represent the interests of employees in relations with the employer, the association (association, union) of employers (their representatives), government, trade union, other legal entities, officials on the resolution of claims;
2) receive information from the employer, the association (association, union) of employers (their representatives) on issues affecting the interests of employees;
3) to cover the course of consideration of employees' claims in the mass media;
4) involve experts to give opinions on controversial issues;
5) suspend the strike with the consent of the employees (their representatives).
3. The resumption of a previously suspended strike does not require a second review of the dispute by a conciliation commission, mediator, or labor arbitration. The employer, the association (association, union) of employers (their representatives) and the labor dispute settlement body must be notified of the resumption of the strike no later than three working days in advance.
4. The powers of the body leading the strike shall be terminated in cases when the parties to a collective labor dispute have signed an agreement on its settlement, as well as in the event that the strike is declared illegal.
