Article 19. Implementation of probation control in relation to the Juvenile Probation Act
1. The Probation Service carries out probation control in relation to a minor:
1) sentenced to punishment in the form of restriction of freedom;
2) a probationer.
2. The police shall carry out probation control in relation to a minor:
1) released on parole from serving a sentence of imprisonment;
2) in respect of whom the court has imposed a compulsory measure of educational influence, established by paragraph 4) the first part of Article 84 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. When registering a minor under probation control, the Probation Service implements a set of measures in accordance with articles 69, 169 and 174 of the Criminal Executive Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the provisions of Article 18 of this Law.
If necessary, an individual program for providing social and legal assistance to minors provides for the participation of a teacher and a psychologist.
4. In relation to a minor, along with the measures specified in paragraph 3 of this article, the probation service, together with representatives of the guardianship and guardianship authority, conducts a quarterly survey of the minor's housing conditions and draws up an act.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of the organization and functioning of probation and establishes the concept, purpose, objectives, principles, types and forms of probation, as well as the legal status of persons in respect of whom probation is applied and the subjects who carry it out.
