Article 347. Accounting of hazardous waste of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Persons carrying out operations for the recovery or disposal of hazardous waste, hazardous waste generators, business entities engaged in the collection, transportation and (or) neutralization of hazardous waste are required to keep chronological records of the quantity, type, origin of waste, destinations, frequency of collection, method of transportation and method of treatment provided for in relation to hazardous waste, and provide this information to the authorized body in the field of environmental protection in accordance with paragraph 3 of this Article.
2. Hazardous waste records must be kept for at least five years, with the exception of such records from business entities engaged in the transportation of hazardous waste, which must be kept for at least twelve months.
3. The persons specified in paragraph 1 of this Article are required to submit an inventory report on hazardous waste annually as of January 1 to March 1 of the year following the reporting year in electronic form.
4. Documentary confirmation of the completion of the hazardous waste management operation must be provided by the persons specified in paragraph 1 of this article at the request of the authorized body in the field of environmental protection or the former owner of the waste.
5. Primary statistical data in the field of waste management are formed by a subordinate organization of the authorized body in the field of environmental protection according to the information of the state waste cadastre on the basis of reports submitted by waste management persons in accordance with Article 384 of this Code and sent to the authorized statistical body in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of state statistics.
