Article 84. Liability of the carrier for causing harm to the life and health of the passenger of the Law on Inland Waterway Transport
1. The carrier is liable for obligations arising as a result of causing harm to the life and health of the passenger during transportation in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, unless the contract of carriage of the passenger provides for increased liability of the carrier.
2. The carrier is liable for causing harm to the life and health of the passenger during his stay on the ship and on the territory of the port during boarding (disembarkation) on the ship.

This Law regulates public relations that arise between government agencies, individuals and legal entities in the field of inland waterway transport during navigation, transportation of passengers, baggage and cargo, operation of small vessels, including on bodies of water not related to inland waterways and sea waters, and also defines their rights, duties and responsibilities..
