1. Under the construction contract, the contractor undertakes to build a specific facility or perform other construction work within the time period specified by the contract, and the customer undertakes to create the necessary conditions for the contractor to perform the work, accept its result and pay the stipulated price for it.

2. A construction contract is concluded for the construction or reconstruction of an enterprise, building (including a residential building), structure or other object, as well as for the performance of installation, commissioning and other works inextricably linked to the object under construction. The rules of this paragraph shall also apply to major repairs of buildings and structures, unless otherwise provided by the contract.

If this is stipulated in the contract, the contractor assumes the obligation to ensure the operation of the facility after its acceptance by the customer within the period specified in the contract.

3. In the case of a turnkey construction contract, the contractor assumes all responsibilities for construction and its provision and must deliver the facility ready for operation to the customer in accordance with the contractual terms.

4. The owner of the unfinished construction before its delivery to the customer and payment for the work is the contractor (with the exception of shared housing construction facilities).

5. In cases where work is performed under a construction contract to meet the domestic or other personal needs of a citizen (customer), the rules on the rights of the customer under the domestic contract are applied accordingly to such a contract.
