The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan RESOLVES:
1.Approve the attached draft Agreement on Amendments to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides resources to the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), and the United Nations, dated February 14, 2024.
2. Authorize the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations, Umarov Kairat Yermekovich, to sign, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Agreement amending the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides resources to the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), and the United Nations, dated February 14, 2024, allowing for amendments and additions that are not of a fundamental nature.
3. This resolution shall enter into force on the date of its signing.

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations, hereinafter collectively referred to as the Parties,
Guided by article 12 of the "Amendment" of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides resources to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), and the United Nations, signed in New York on February 14, 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the Memorandum of Understanding),
have agreed on the following:
1. The following amendment is to be made to Appendix B to the Memorandum of Understanding:
Section I “Requirements” of Appendix B “Main armament (equipment) provided by the Government of UNDOF – Reserve Force Company – Kazakhstan” shall be redrafted in accordance with the annex to the present Agreement.
2. This Agreement, which is an integral part of the Memorandum of Understanding, shall enter into force on the date the United Nations receives, through diplomatic channels, a written notification from the Government confirming the completion of the domestic procedures required for it to enter into force.

Amendment No. 2, coming into force on May 1, 2026: a change in the number of wheeled medical transporters based on the BTR from 1 (one) to 2 (two) in the event of deploying one additional ambulance vehicle at the Mission’s request, approved and registered in the records management system on October 17, 2025.
Amendment No. 1, effective from January 1, 2025. Technical amendment in case of the emergence of new Mission factors.
1. The Arlan armored personnel carrier is classified as a class 1 wheeled armored personnel carrier based on invoices and pre‑deployment checks.
2. The Arlan EOD (explosive ordnance device) armored personnel carrier is classified as a mine-clearing vehicle – an EOD team’s mine-resistant truck, protected against ambushes.
3. Containers: The mission will provide additional containers owned by the UN (8 at the time of completion of the Memorandum of Understanding) for the reserve company of the forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. High‑frequency communication equipment: included in Appendix B to the Memorandum of Understanding for operational redundancy when using ECM jammers.
5. Electronic protection devices (jammers) against improvised explosive devices installed on vehicles: the unit will be deployed with ECM integrated into all x15 combat vehicles.
6. Storage and storage: equipment received by Kazakhstan from the former reserve force company.
