In order to determine the resources that the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to provide to the United Nations during peacekeeping operations, I hereby decree: 1. To approve the draft of the attached Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations regarding contributions to the United Nations preparatory activities system. 2. To authorize Yerzhan Khozeevich Kazykhanov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations, to sign on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan a Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations regarding contributions to the United Nations preparatory activities system. 3. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.

Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Organization on contributions to the United Nations training system
Recognizing the need to facilitate the provision of certain resources to the United Nations in order to effectively and timely implement United Nations peacekeeping mandates issued by the Security Council, recognizing also that the benefits of committing to provide resources for peacekeeping operations contribute to greater flexibility and lower costs, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Of the United Nations (further - The Parties), acting in the spirit of friendly cooperation, have signed this Memorandum of Understanding.
Article 1. Purpose
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to identify the resources that the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to provide to the United Nations for the purpose of conducting peacekeeping operations under certain conditions.
Article 2. Description of resources
1. A detailed description of the resources that the Republic of Kazakhstan is ready to provide is provided in the annex to this Memorandum of Understanding. 2. In preparing the annex, the Parties followed the guidelines for the provision of resources for United Nations peacekeeping operations.
Article 3. Conditions for the provision of resources
The final decision on the use of the resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan remains with the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Article 4. Entry into force
This Memorandum of Understanding shall apply provisionally from the date of signature and shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the United Nations of a written notification that the Kazakh Side has completed the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of this Memorandum of Understanding.
Article 5. Changes and additions
This Memorandum of Understanding, including the annex, may be amended and supplemented by the Parties at any time through the exchange of notes.
Article 6. Termination of validity
The Memorandum of Understanding may be terminated by either Party, provided that it is notified in writing at least three months in advance.
