Article 22. Termination of the activity of the certifying center of the Law on Electronic Document and Electronic Digital Signature -Became invalid due to the adoption of the Digital Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 9, 2026 No. 255-VIII SAM
1. The activity of the certification center is terminated in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. In the event of a decision to terminate its activities, the certifying center is obliged to inform all participants of the electronic document management systems it services and the authorized body in the field of information security thirty calendar days before the termination of its activities.
3. Upon termination of the activity of the certification center, the registration certificates issued by it and the corresponding electronic digital signature keys, information about the owners of the registration certificates are transferred to other certification centers in agreement with the owner of the registration certificate.
4. Upon expiration of the period specified in paragraph 2 of this article, registration certificates and corresponding electronic digital signature keys that have not been transferred to other certification centers shall cease to be valid and shall be subject to storage in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law is aimed at regulating relations arising from the creation and use of electronic documents certified by electronic digital signatures, providing for the establishment, modification or termination of legal relations, as well as the rights and obligations of participants in legal relations arising in the field of electronic document circulation, including civil law transactions.
