Article 609. Organization of the execution of punishment or compulsory treatment in relation to accepted persons CPC RK Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. After satisfying the request for admission of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to serve a sentence or undergo compulsory treatment and obtaining the consent of an authorized body of a foreign state for such transfer, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan instructs the internal affairs body to coordinate the place, time and procedure for the transfer and organization of the transfer of this person to an institution of the penal system or a medical organization providing compulsory treatment, in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     State bodies, within the limits of their competence, assist the internal affairs body in receiving a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to serve a sentence or undergo compulsory medical treatment.

     2. The execution of punishment or compulsory medical treatment in the Republic of Kazakhstan in respect of accepted citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan specified in Article 602 of this Code is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     3. Conditional early release, amnesty, or pardon, termination or modification of the application of compulsory medical measures may be applied to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan specified in Article 602 of this Code in accordance with the procedure provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the international treaty of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     4. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall notify the authorized body of the state, the court of which issued the verdict or resolution, on the status and results of the execution of punishment or compulsory treatment in the case of:

     1) completion of serving a sentence or compulsory medical treatment in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     2) death or escape of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan specified in Article 602 of this Code.
