Article 143. Provision of medical assistance to persons detained, detained, placed in special institutions, held in pre-trial detention facilities and institutions of the penal (penitentiary) system Code on the Health of the People and the Healthcare System of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Medical assistance shall be provided to persons detained, detained and placed in special institutions in accordance with the procedure determined by the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan in coordination with the authorized body.
2. Medical assistance shall be provided to persons held in pre-trial detention facilities and institutions of the penal enforcement (penitentiary) system in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body.
3. The persons specified in paragraphs 1 and 2 of this Article shall enjoy the rights of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan when receiving medical care specified in the subparagraphs 1), 2), 4), 5), 6), 7), 8) and 9) paragraph 1 of Article 134 of this Code.
4. Foreigners and stateless persons whose freedom is restricted, as well as those serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty, detained, detained and placed in special institutions, have the right to receive a guaranteed amount of free medical care in accordance with the list and in the amount determined by the authorized body, unless otherwise provided by law. The Republic of Kazakhstan and international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
