Article 27-1. Objects of technical regulation and standardization of the Law on Architectural, Urban Planning and Construction Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan

The objects of technical regulation and standardization in the field of architectural, urban planning and construction activities are buildings, structures, processes of their design, construction, reconstruction, technical re-equipment, expansion, major repairs and operation, as well as building materials, products and structures.
During the design, construction, reconstruction, technical re-equipment, expansion, capital repairs and operation of industrial facilities in special economic zones, special industrial zones, as well as those included in the unified industrialization map, direct application of international building codes and regulations, as well as international, regional and foreign standards is allowed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of standardization. During the construction of facilities on the territory of special economic zones, special industrial zones, as well as those included in the unified industrialization map, it is allowed to use building materials and structures that meet the requirements of international building codes and regulations, as well as international, regional and foreign standards, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of standardization.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 16, 2001 No. 242.
This Law regulates the relations that arise between government agencies, individuals and legal entities in the process of carrying out architectural, urban planning and construction activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and is aimed at creating a full-fledged human habitat and vital activity, sustainable development of settlements and interuniverse territories.
