Article 27. Local executive bodies for architecture, urban planning, construction and State architectural and Construction control of the Law on Architectural, Urban Planning and Construction Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan

1. Local executive bodies for architecture, urban planning, construction and state architectural and construction control are structural divisions of the respective akimats and are divided into:
1) regional (cities of republican significance, the capital) authorities:
architecture and urban planning;
construction (single customer service);
State architectural and Construction control and supervision;
2) district (cities of regional significance) authorities:
architecture and urban planning;
construction (single customer service).
2. The competence of local executive bodies for architecture, urban planning, construction and state architectural and construction control shall be established in accordance with Articles 24, 25 and 26 of this Law.
3. Heads of structural divisions of local executive bodies of cities of republican significance, the capital and cities of regional significance, performing functions in the field of architecture and urban planning, are ex officio chief architects of cities.
The heads of the structural divisions of the local executive bodies of the district, performing functions in the field of architecture and urban planning, are the chief architects of the districts by position.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 16, 2001 No. 242.
This Law regulates the relations that arise between government agencies, individuals and legal entities in the process of carrying out architectural, urban planning and construction activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and is aimed at creating a full-fledged human habitat and vital activity, sustainable development of settlements and interuniverse territories.
