State bodies performing the functions of criminal prosecution:

1) explain to the victim the right to receive compensation in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Compensation Fund for Victims;

2) request the information necessary to make a decision on the appointment of compensation;

3) if there are grounds, compensation is appointed in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Compensation Fund for Victims.;

4) maintain a centralized register of compensation recipients;

5) submit a centralized register of compensation recipients to the central authorized body for budget execution on a monthly basis by the fifteenth day of the month following the decision on the award of compensation.;

6) develop and approve a joint regulatory legal act regulating the return of unjustifiably paid compensation.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 10, 2018 No. 131-VI SAM.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases aimed at ensuring the payment of compensation to victims of certain types of criminal offenses.
