Article 473. Civil procedural capacity of foreigners and stateless persons of the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The civil procedural capacity of foreigners and stateless persons is determined by their personal law.
2. The personal law of a foreigner is the law of the State of which he is a citizen.
3. If a citizen has several foreign nationalities, his personal law is considered to be the law of the State with which he is most closely associated, including in which the citizen has a place of residence.
4. The personal law of a stateless person is considered to be the law of the State in which the person has permanent residence, and in the absence of such, the law of the State of his habitual residence.
5. A person who is not legally capable according to his personal law may be recognized as legally capable in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan if he has procedural legal capacity in accordance with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
