Article 101. Limitation periods of the Law On Inland Waterway Transport
1. Claims against the carrier (tugboat) arising from the contract of carriage by inland waterways may be filed in the event of the carrier's complete or partial refusal to satisfy the claim or in the event of failure to receive a response from the carrier on time to the claim.
2. The limitation period begins on the day of the occurrence of the events that served as the basis for the claim.
3. The limitation period shall be established:
1) under the contract of carriage (towing) of goods - one year;
2) under the contract of carriage of passengers and baggage - six months.
4. Claims for claims arising in connection with a ship collision and a rescue operation may be filed within two years.

This Law regulates public relations that arise between government agencies, individuals and legal entities in the field of inland waterway transport during navigation, transportation of passengers, baggage and cargo, operation of small vessels, including on bodies of water not related to inland waterways and sea waters, and also defines their rights, duties and responsibilities..
