Article 11. Ensuring gender equality of rights and responsibilities of men and women in marriage and family relations and child rearing The Law on State Guarantees of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women

Ensuring gender equality of the rights and duties of men and women in marriage and family relations and the upbringing of children is carried out by:

1) increasing the prestige of the family, strengthening marital and family relations, and promoting the values of marriage and family;

2) equal division of responsibility of men and women for the upbringing of children;

3) implementation of social policy aimed at supporting and improving the quality of family life.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 2009 No. 223-IV.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of ensuring State guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women and establishes basic principles and norms concerning the creation of conditions for gender equality in all spheres of State and public life.
