Article 69. Reduced working hours for certain categories of employees of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. For employees under the age of eighteen, a reduced working time is established.:
1) for ages from fourteen to sixteen – no more than 24 hours per week;
2) for employees between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, no more than 36 hours per week.
2. For workers engaged in heavy work, work with harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions, a reduced working time of no more than 36 hours per week is established according to the List of industries, workshops, professions and positions, the list of heavy work, work with harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions.
The reduced working time established by this paragraph applies to employees whose work in difficult, harmful and (or) dangerous conditions is confirmed by the results of certification of production facilities for working conditions.
If the employer fails to certify production facilities for working conditions, as well as for workplaces that are not subject to certification, the reduced working time is provided in full according to the List of industries, workshops, professions and positions, the list of heavy work, work with harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions.
The employees of the sending party are provided with a reduced working time based on the results of the certification of production facilities according to the working conditions of the receiving party.
3. Employees with disabilities of the first and second groups are assigned a reduced working time – no more than 36 hours per week.
4. The remuneration of employees, when they establish a shortened working time, shall be made in accordance with this Code.
