Article 144. Elimination of historical pollution of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The elimination of historical pollution shall be carried out in respect of objects of historical pollution included in the state register of objects of historical pollution, taking into account the priorities and priorities defined in such register.
2. The elimination of historical pollution is carried out in accordance with the rules approved by the authorized body in the field of environmental protection.
The report on the work carried out to eliminate historical pollution is published on the Internet resource of the authorized body in the field of environmental protection.
3. The elimination of historical pollution is organized by local executive bodies of districts and cities. By decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the authorized body in the field of environmental protection organizes the elimination of historical pollution in relation to individual facilities.
The work on the elimination of historical pollution includes carrying out the necessary surveys, including engineering surveys, developing a project for the elimination of historical pollution, coordinating and approving it, carrying out work on the elimination of historical pollution, monitoring and acceptance of completed works and further monitoring of the environment.
To carry out work on the elimination of historical pollution, the state bodies specified in part one of this paragraph shall involve organizations in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement.
4. The financing of the work on the elimination of historical pollution is carried out at the expense of budgetary funds.
