Article 293. Monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions from quota installations of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. A quota entity shall develop a mandatory plan for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions from a quota facility (hereinafter referred to as the monitoring plan) for the period of validity of the National Carbon Quota Plan.
2. The quota entity shall submit a validated monitoring plan to the authorized body in the field of environmental protection before April 1 of the first year of the National Carbon Quota Plan.
If the monitoring plan is not submitted within the time period specified in part one of this paragraph, the account of the quota entity in the state register of carbon units shall be blocked within five working days until the required documents are submitted.
3. Monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions from a quota-based installation is carried out in accordance with the rules of state regulation in the field of greenhouse gas emissions and removals.
4. The form of the monitoring plan is established by the rules of state regulation in the field of greenhouse gas emissions and removals.
