Article 160. Monitoring of natural resources of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Monitoring of natural resources is a set of systems, subsystems and types of monitoring of the state of natural resources, organized by specially authorized state bodies in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Monitoring of natural resources includes:
1) land monitoring conducted in accordance with the land legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) state monitoring of water bodies and water resources conducted in accordance with the water legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) state monitoring of subsurface resources, conducted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on subsurface resources and subsoil use;
4) state monitoring of forests conducted in accordance with the forest legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
5) monitoring of wildlife conducted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife;
6) state monitoring of flora, conducted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, restoration, and use of flora.
3. The monitoring data of natural resources are summarized in the relevant state cadastres in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
