Article 51. The procedure for termination of an employment contract upon expiration of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. An employment contract concluded for a certain period of time is terminated due to the expiration of its term.
2. If, on the day of expiration of an employment contract concluded for a certain period of at least one year, a pregnant woman submits a certificate of pregnancy for a period of twelve weeks or more, as well as an employee with a child under the age of three, who adopted a child and wished to use his right to leave without pay for child care, will submit a written application for an extension of the term of the employment contract, except in cases of replacement of a temporarily absent employee, the employer is obliged to extend the term of the employment contract until the end of the parental leave.
3. The expiration date of the employment contract concluded for the duration of a certain work is the day of completion of the work.
4. The expiration date of the employment contract concluded for the duration of the replacement of a temporarily absent employee is the day the employee who retained his place of work (position) left for work, or the date of termination of the employment contract with the employee who retained his place of work (position).
