Article 67. Functions and powers of the Disciplinary Commission The Law on Special State Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The Disciplinary Commission performs the following functions:
1) review of official investigation materials on employee misconduct;
2) elaboration and submission of proposals to the authorized head on the application of types of penalties.
2. In order to carry out its functions within its competence, the Disciplinary Commission may:
1) to hear the explanations of the employee who committed the misconduct, the witnesses and the official who conducted the official investigation;
2) request materials, information, and investigate any facts regarding the misconduct (incident).
3. Chairman of the Disciplinary Commission:
1) heads the disciplinary commission, organizes and directs its work;
2) determines the agenda of the meetings of the disciplinary commission;
3) upon receipt of the materials of the internal investigation, determine the time of the meeting of the disciplinary commission. In the absence of the Chairman of the disciplinary commission, one of the members of the disciplinary commission shall preside at the meetings on his authority.;
4) determines the speaker on a specific issue to be considered at a meeting of the disciplinary commission.
4. Secretary of the Disciplinary Commission:
1) inform the members of the disciplinary commission about the time and place of the meetings of the disciplinary commission;
2) organizes the preparation of materials for the meetings of the disciplinary commission;
3) keeps minutes of meetings of the disciplinary commission;
4) sends proposals of the disciplinary commission to the head;
5) performs other functions on the instructions of the Chairman of the disciplinary commission.

This Law defines the status of special state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as special state bodies), regulates public relations related to admission to service in special state bodies, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status, financial support and social protection of employees of special state bodies.
