Article 134. Conditions of detention in disciplinary detention centers and solitary confinement cells of the Criminal Executive Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Convicted persons placed in a disciplinary detention center:
1) daily walks of one hour duration are allowed;
2) visits, telephone conversations, the purchase of food and basic necessities, smoking in the cell, as well as the use of a sleeping place during the daytime are prohibited.
2. Convicted persons transferred to solitary confinement as a punishment have the right to:
1) spend monthly on the purchase of food and basic necessities the funds earned during the period of serving the sentence in the amount of four monthly calculation indices;
2) enjoy a daily walk lasting an hour and a half.
3. Convicts who are placed in disciplinary isolation cells or transferred to solitary cells work separately from other convicts.
4. In the case of transfer of convicted persons from disciplinary isolation cells or solitary confinement to a medical organization located in institutions, as well as other medical healthcare organizations, the period of their stay in them is counted towards the term of serving the penalty.

5. Cells in disciplinary detention facilities and solitary cells intended for the detention of convicts with disabilities shall be equipped with special technical means.
