Article 96. General provisions on the production cooperative of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. A production cooperative is a voluntary association of citizens on the basis of membership for joint entrepreneurial activity based on their personal labor participation and the pooling of property contributions by its members.
2. There must be at least two members of the cooperative.
3. Members of a production cooperative shall bear additional (subsidiary) liability for the obligations of the cooperative in the amounts and in accordance with the procedure provided for by the Law on the Production Cooperative.
4. The legal status of a production cooperative and its members is determined in accordance with this Code and legislative acts.
5. The legal status of an agricultural cooperative formed in the form of a production cooperative, as well as the legal status, rights and obligations of its members are determined by this Code and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exception of cases provided for by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Agricultural Cooperatives".
