Article 4. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War of the Law On Veterans

Article 4. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War of the Law On Veterans

     Veterans of the Great Patriotic War include:

     1) participants in the Great Patriotic War, namely, military personnel who served in military units, headquarters and institutions that were part of the active army and navy during the Great Patriotic War, as well as during other combat operations to protect the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (hereinafter referred to as the USSR), partisans and underground fighters of the Great Patriotic War Wars;

     2) persons with disabilities as a result of wounds, contusions, maimings or illnesses sustained during the Great Patriotic War, namely military personnel of the active army and Navy, partisans and underground fighters of the Great Patriotic War, as well as workers and employees who have been disabled as a result of wounds, contusions, maimings or illnesses sustained during the Great Patriotic War at the front, in the area of military operations, on the frontline sections of railways, defensive lines, naval bases and airfields.

 

 

     This Law defines the organizational, economic and legal basis for the provision of social support measures to veterans and other persons covered by this Law.
