Article 164. Violation of the laws and customs of war The Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1 Forcing persons who have surrendered their weapons or who do not have protective equipment, the wounded, sick, shipwrecked, medical workers, sanitary and spiritual personnel, prisoners of war, the civilian population in the occupied territory or in the area of military operations, and other persons enjoying international protection during military operations to serve in the enemy's armed forces or to relocate either depriving them of their right to an independent and impartial trial, or restricting their right to defense in criminal proceedings. –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
2 The murder of the persons listed in the first part of this article, –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of fifteen to twenty years or by life imprisonment with or without deprivation of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
