Article 8. Decisions on initialing, adopting texts and signing international treaties, as well as on authorizing the implementation of these acts of the Law on International Treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decisions on initialing, adopting texts and signing international treaties, as well as on authorizing the commission of these acts, are taken in the form of an appropriate act.:

1) with respect to international treaties concluded on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The relevant act on signing an international treaty is adopted without a decision on authorizing it to be signed if such an international treaty is signed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the right to sign this international treaty is delegated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including orally, to another official immediately before its signing.;

2) with respect to international treaties concluded on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the granting of authority to commit these acts on its behalf to heads of state bodies directly subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or their deputies;

3) with respect to international agreements concluded on behalf of the central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the first heads of the central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan or persons replacing them.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 30, 2005 No. 54.

This Law defines the procedure for concluding, executing, amending and terminating international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

International treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan are concluded, executed, amended and terminated in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, generally recognized principles and norms of international law, the provisions of the international treaty itself, the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, this Law and other legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
