List of property not subject to confiscation by court verdict
The following types of property and items necessary for a convicted person and persons dependent on him, belonging to him by right of private ownership or being his share in common ownership, are not subject to confiscation:
A residential building, apartment, or individual parts thereof, if the convicted person or his family permanently resides in them.
Land plots on which houses and outbuildings are located that are not subject to confiscation, as well as land plots necessary for personal subsidiary farming.
Persons whose main occupation is agriculture have outbuildings and livestock in the amount necessary to meet the needs of their family, as well as livestock feed.
Seeds needed for the next sowing of crops.
Household items, utensils, clothes:
a) clothes, shoes, linen, bedding, kitchen and dining utensils that were in use. Fur and other valuable clothing, dinner sets, items made of precious metals, as well as items of artistic value may be confiscated.;
b) furniture that is minimally necessary for the convict and his family members;
c) all baby supplies. Food in the amount necessary for the convict and his family members before the new harvest, if the convict's main occupation is agriculture, and in other cases — food and money for a total amount in the amount established by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Fuel intended for cooking and heating the family's living quarters.
Inventory (including manuals and books) necessary for the continuation of the convicted person's professional activities, except in cases when the convicted person is deprived of the right to engage in relevant activities by a court verdict or when the inventory was used by him to commit a crime.
Vehicles specially designed for the movement of people with disabilities.
International, state or other prizes awarded to the convicted person.
