Article 25. Conducting economic, commercial or other activities, conducting socio-political, cultural or other events on the State border and in the border zone The Law On the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. For conducting economic, commercial or other activities, conducting socio-political, cultural or other events at the State Border and in the border strip, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan issues permits to enter and stay in the border strip in accordance with the procedure determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the interests of protecting the State Border, may introduce restrictions or temporarily suspend the validity of passes in accordance with this Law.
2. When submitting submissions to the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a permit, individuals and legal entities enter information about the nature, location, participants, time of work or events used by fishing and other vessels, transport and other technical means, and, if necessary, the place and time of crossing the State Border, if this is the case. It is stipulated in the international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the neighboring state.
3. Economic, commercial or other activities, socio-political, cultural or other events carried out (conducted) on the State Border and in the border strip must not:
1) damage the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan, neighboring states or contain a threat of damage;
2) create obstacles to the maintenance of the State Border and the fulfillment of tasks by the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) violate the established order at the State Border.
4. Hunting in the border zone for the purpose of fishing is prohibited. This restriction also applies in the area from the outer border of the border strip to the line of engineering facilities of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. On the recommendation of local executive bodies, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes places for water intake, bathing, and watering of animals in the waters of border rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water located in the border zone, where temporary suspension of regime restrictions is allowed if there is a positive environmental assessment and compliance of water sources with sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of protection of the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
